Memorial Day Weekend

Postby mitchigander06 » Tue Jun 01, 2010 10:27 pm

Fished at night after dark with my brother Saturday and Sunday and ended with five walleye that were keepers, a few throw backs and we also caught probally around 20 smallmouth bass too. The bass ranged from 6 inches to our biggest which was around 16. Here is a picture of the walleye.

We were actually the only boat fishing in shallow. All the other boats were out deep in like 15-20 fow. I talked to one guy and he said he caught three out deep but he was fishing all day. We stayed in about 3-6 fow after the sun went down and all fish were caught on rapalas. Anything that had orange or yellow in it worked.

Not on purpose???? It was that or eat dehydrated spaghetti

LOL true enough man,- I still don't know what those first three were that I caught but I remember thinking we rationalized eating them cause they looked close enough to a trout for our hungry belly's....

You could not keep the bass off your line. Everytime you put one back you had another one on. Most were small around 10 inches but still fun to catch.
